Kylian Mbappe rants at team-mate Neymar moments after being taken off during win over Montpellier

‘He doesn’t pass to me!’ Furious Kylian Mbappe rants at PSG team-mate Neymar moments after being taken off during win over Montpellier

  • PSG secured all three point after beating Montpellier 2-0 at home
  • Kylian Mbappe was left frustrated with Neymar after Julian Draxler’s late strike
  • The Parisians are 10 points clear at the top of the table after just eight games

Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe could not hide his frustration despite his side’s 2-0 home win over Montpellier on Saturday.

Idrissa Gueye’s stunning first-half strike and a late one from Julian Draxler was enough to help the Parisians to their eighth consecutive Ligue 1 victory and stretch their lead at the top to 10 points.

But Mbappe was caught on camera complaining to Gueye, claiming that Neymar doesn’t give him the type of pass that led to Draxler’s goal two minutes from time.

Kylian Mbappe was left frustrated after he saw a pass from Neymar lead to Julian Draxler’s goal

According to RMC Sport, Mbappe said: ‘He (Neymar) does not give me that pass’.

The 22-year-old has come under scrutiny for his antics recently. During midweek, Achraf Hakimi grabbed a 95th minute winner against Metz and Mbappe was seen running to the goalkeeper to taunt him.

Neverthless, the Parisians are currently in fine form having won all eight league games this season – scoring 22 and conceding just seven in the process.

Following Saturday’s win, PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino said: ‘Yes, in general, the team was strong today. It’s a deserved victory for the team.

PSG are in fine form and they sit 10 point clear at the top of Ligue 1 after eight games

But they could be without Lionel Messi for the visit of Manchester City on Tuesday night

‘There were two different periods: the first one during which we created chances against, with a game much more direct and less structured than what we like to do. In the second half, we had much more control and we created opportunities’.

The French side will now take-on Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday night and they could be without Lionel Messi.

The 34-year-old picked up a knee injury in the win over Lyon last week and he’s had to sit-out for the last two games. He will be assessed on Sunday to see whether he’ll be able to take part against Pep Guardiola’s side.
