Photo surfaces of Pauline Hanson with mysterious lover of 13 years – as they’re kept apart by Covid

Rare photo surfaces of Pauline Hanson with her mysterious lover of 13 years as she reveals they have been torn apart by lockdown border restrictions… so who IS the lucky man?

  • Border closures as a result of Covid have kept Pauline Hanson away from partner
  • One Nation leader says she has kept her lover Tony Nyquist ‘very secret’
  • It has been almost two years since she has seen her daughter and grandchildren
  • Queensland senator says media is ‘sensationalising’ the Covid-19 virus

A rare photo has emerged of One Nation leader Pauline Hanson and her little-seen lover Tony Nyquist after she revealed the pair have been kept apart by draconian border closures.

‘For those people in Queensland who can’t see their loved ones… I’m in that position,’ Senator Hanson told Sky News on Monday, prior to the image of the pair surfacing.

‘I can’t see my partner who is in NSW and in lockdown there in Port Stephens and has been for the last couple of months. He’s my partner of 13 years and he can’t get across the border.’

The image shows Ms Hanson standing beside four people – one of whom is Mr Nyquist wearing a button up shirt, vest and a cap. The pair are smiling widely for the photograph.

Ms Hanson, who first entered politics as a member of the Ipswich City Council in 1994, admitted in June this year that she is in a long term relationship with Mr Nyquist, who is from NSW.

But the pair are notoriously private and almost never consent to pictures being taken by the press.

The 67-year-old One Nation leader, who has been married twice and has four children, told the Courier Mail at the time ‘I’ve kept him very secret’, adding that despite her marriage record, ‘I can keep them longer than a couple of years.’

Mr Nyquist is understood to be a former property developer and real estate agent.

The couple were initially spotted together in Nelson Bay in northern NSW more than a decade ago.

Woman’s Day magazine reported that the relationship was an open secret in the area, with one local saying ‘they go out together’.

‘I’ve seen them in the Salamander Bay Shopping Centre together… seen them in Kmart. [Locals] accept her, they are happy to have her here. She’s very welcome.’

Ms Hanson lives 760km away on a large property in Beaudesert, Queensland.

The senator, who has refused to get vaccinated against Covid-19, called for state borders to be opened up across the country.

‘As the prime minister has said, when we get to 80 per cent double vaccination for people in Australia the borders should be opened up and there should be no border closures at all in the future,’ she said.

But Ms Hanson does not think that will happen.

‘I don’t hold that confidence for Queensland because I think that she (Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk) is preparing to keep the border shut again for another year to anyone outside Queensland.’

Ms Hanson said that by Christmas it will have been two years since she has seen her daughter and grandchildren.

‘And I can’t get to see my new granddaughter who’s 20 days old because she lives in NSW,’ she told Sky.

‘So this is ridiculous. You’re keeping families apart and she (Ms Palaszczuk) has no consideration for this whatsoever.’

Ms Hanson said anti-vaxxers do not get enough air-time in the media.

‘You hear from people who say “I’ll get vaxxed” but you don’t hear from the other side of the argument.

‘People are protesting because you can’t keep locking them away for months at a time in their homes. The mental illness is escalating. Kids are self-harming, suicide is on the increase.

‘People are not getting the medical treatment that they need,’ she said.
