Real Madrid are reportedly inching closer to the signing of Kylian Mbappe with the French star preparing to spend his final days with Paris Saint-Germain.

The 23-year-old has been in Qatar but is set to return to Paris for a final meeting with his family and representatives to determine his future.

And the excited Spanish media seem to believe that an official announcement of Mbappe’s Bernabeu move will be made after Real have played Liverpool in the Champions League final on May 28.

Tuesday’s newspapers in Spain are dominated by news of Kylian Mbappe’s apparently imminent move from Paris Saint-Germain to Real Madrid

‘First Paris, then Mbappe,’ is the headline on Tuesday’s edition of AS, referencing the fact the final is to be held at the Stade de France.

They report that Mbappe plans to say his goodbyes at PSG in the next week, with Real officially announcing the free transfer after the final.

AS report that Mbappe will be the highest paid player in the history of the club and his release clause will be the largest in world football, with a five-year contract set to be signed.

Marca also lead with Mbappe, with his face on their front cover and the headline: ‘Yes, Mbappe has finalised the agreement to become a Madrid player.’

It all appears to be heading quickly towards a conclusion after Mbappe teased that an announcement is imminent at the Ligue 1 awards ceremony on Sunday night.

PSG are desperate for Mbappe to sign a new contract with the powers-that-be at the Parc des Princes eager for him to go to the Qatar World Cup later this year as a PSG player.

It all means that Mbappe’s final game in PSG colours could be this Saturday’s home fixture with Metz, which concludes their league season.

Although Mauricio Pochettino’s team have won the championship by a comfortable margin, they again failed in the Champions League, collapsing spectacularly in their last-16 tie with Real Madrid having led 2-0 on aggregate.
